Hair cloning is the optimal solution to treat baldness but research is not there yet and the closure of a leading industry company makes that goal seem even more distant.

Men and women would have an unlimited supply of their own hair to stop their baldness if hair could be cloned or multiplied. There was a high hope for a hair multiplication process that was being researched by a company called Intercytex, but Intercytex just went belly up.  

In a disappointing move, the United Kingdom based company is being dissolved.

Intercytex was one of the leaders of researching hair multiplication and cloning. Now no one is sure who will take their place. It seems as if no progress has been made in the hopes of utilizing a method like hair multiplication in the past ten years.

Eventually, if this discovery is made, hair multiplication and cloning would treat the thousands of people who suffer from baldness each year.
