What are the difficult aspects of your practice?

DR. DORIN explains that a difficult aspect of hair restoration practice is seeing young men come into the office in a situation where he knows they're going to go on to be severely bald throughout their lifetime and having to turn them away as far as prospective patients, and although he discusses alternatives such as medical therapy to slow down or stop the hair loss, it bothers Dr. Dorin, when he sees the patient is deeply distraught when they're coming to him for the answer, thinking that this is going to be a quick fix, that he's going to help them. And he really can't. That bothers him, especially when they come with their parents and you have a conversation with their parents. You take them on the side and you help set up a support structure, make sure that the patient himself is, if need to be, see psychological counseling - because there are some patients come in are that distraught.
