Important FAQ's
Question:
How much does a hair transplant cost?
Answer:
There is wide variation among surgical fees for transplantation, but most treatments are done at a cost of $4.00 to $7.00 per graft. Extracted grafts typically cost two to three times as much each.
Usually the best values both in terms of quality and cost are available from independent hair restoration surgeons. Compared with the large chain clinics; the independents generally have lower overhead, more experienced and stable staff and more personalized service.
A word of caution about some of the really cheap deals being offered out there. One patient we did a repair treatment on responded to an internet ad for a $3.00/graft hair transplant. He told us that he only saw the doctor for the few minutes he came in to cut the donor strip. The technicians did all the rest of the work unsupervised. He had a wide donor scar and his hairline was composed of three to five hair grafts. Usually cheap is CHEAP.
In choosing a practice for your hair restoration, you must consider these important factors among others:
- Who is the physician that is going to personally perform your hair transplant? What is his or her experience and qualifications?
- What is the experience of the staff that are part of the doctor's medical team?
- Is the most current technology and technique being offered?
- What will be the short AND long term costs of the restoration?
- What do the results look like in person as well as in a portfolio?
While offering the most advanced technology and approach currently available we remain committed to keeping our fees as reasonable as possible. Our patients tell us they consider their hair transplant fees to be some of the best money they have ever spent.
