Is there any post-operative pain?

DR. DORIN: There are ranges or varieties of post-op pain; it will range from mild to moderate. Some people need to take the prescription-strength pain killers that we prescribe, such as Vicodin or Percocet, for about three or four days after the procedure, and some people just need to take that the night of the procedure and they're fine without any type of pain killers for the remainder of the healing process. There are patients who even report that they don't even take anything the night of the procedure. So there is some minor to moderate discomfort in the donor area, but in general it's not something that couldn't be handled.
