1519 FUE by Dr True / Healing Series: Case Studies - Male
This patient is 29. His hair loss started at age 22. He has been on Propecia and Rogaine for one year. His paternal grandfather has class 6 baldness and his father has thinning hair but no baldness. He is commited to wearing his hair short. The longest he ever lets his hair go is a #1 clipper setting. So, it was his main priority to do the tansplantation with a technique that would not force him to wear his hair longer to hide a donor scar. FUE was the best option for him. 1519 follicular units ( 784 single, 558 double, and 177 triple hair) were extracted using a 0.9 mm punch on a rotary hand engine set at low rpm. Extraction was widely dispersed throughout his donor zone. By 6 days post op extractions sites are already becoming inconspicuous and by 11 days barely evident. In the 11 day pictures some of the transplanted hairs have already begun to fall out. The patient experienced no post operative discomfort and never took any pain medication.
