Dr. True & Dr. Dorin find that the machine has some deficiencies that make it sub-optimal for follicular unit extraction. While the punches are sharp, they are not as sharp as they need to be.
Temple peaks are little point in front the ear where the hairline comes down to the sideburn. For some people, they lose the hair in that area as well. Restoring temple peak is simply restoring that triangle of hair restoring the hair.
A recent FUE procedure was performed by Dr. Dorin to restore this patient's hairline and overall density in the frontal region. We don't normally shave the recipient area unless requested by the patient or deemed necessary by the doctor, which was the case here. Dr. Dorin originally wanted to add some temporal peaks in addition to the frontal work but the patient will defer this for a later session.
Below is an early result from a FUE treatment by Dr. True. Patient presented with a 3V pattern. A total of 1,628 hairs were transplanted.
At an upcoming conference of The International Society of Hair Restoration Surgery in Anchorage, Alaska, Dr. Robert True will lead a workshop on the technique of follicular unit extraction.
