Today, hair transplant surgery is performed using either follicular unit extraction (FUE) or follicular unit transplantation (FUT). Both methods utilize hair from a donor site on the patient's head to fill in areas of baldness and thinning. At True & Dorin Medical Group, we understand that undergoing either of these procedures is a significant decision and investment. Both Dr. Robert. J. Dorin and Dr. Robert H. True have decades of experience pioneering advancements in the field.

On the day of hair transplant surgery with True & Dorin, you will meet with your physician to review your medical surgery and have pictures taken.
Your Personalized Surgical Experience
During the hair restoration procedure, your doctor will place harvested follicles along the hairline to frame your forehead and face for flattering results. Additionally, the density and growth pattern will be personalized to ensure the most natural-looking outcome.
Our doctors work with every patient to determine the best treatment for their needs and from that point, plan the procedure accordingly.
About Hair Restoration Surgery
Hair transplant surgery is an outpatient procedure performed exclusively by Drs. Dorin and True at our surgical center. Our state-of-the-art surgical suite is designed to accomodate all aspects of advanced hair transplant technologies and procedures.
What to Expect During Your Procedure
Once the hair has been harvested and prepared, Dr. True or Dr. Dorin will then transplant the follicular units in the form of microscopically processed grafts. These will be used to populate the balding or thinning areas with newly transplanted hair. Specifically, the donor hair will be inserted into tiny slits made by the surgeon utilizing a customized microblade. Creating a perfect fit for each graft is critical to ensure proper healing and minimal trauma during graft insertion. The tissue securely holds each graft in place without the need for bandages. Very slight scabbing will be present for the next five to seven days.
Are Multiple Treatments Necessary?
Depending on certain factors, such as the extent and rate of your hair loss and the amount of donor hair available, more than one hair restoration session may be necessary.
Does the Procedure Hurt?
As can be expected with any surgery, patients are often concerned about pain. We provide local anesthesia with the advanced CompuMed® Wand. This precise system is not only effective to virtually eliminate discomfort during treatment but it is also more comfortable during application of the anesthetic.
